Saturday Sighting

Hi everyone!

I hope this blog post finds you well and that you are enjoying your summer!  This week's nugget of nature is the phlox that is blooming in the ornamental gardens at Backus-Page House Museum!  We have the tall variety in pink and white :)

Fun facts about phlox:
  • There are low-growing, medium-height and tall phlox.
  • They have bunches of many star-shaped flowers.
  • Most types are native to North America.
  • Phlox attracts bees, hummingbirds and butterflies.
  • Some varieties flower in spring, some in summer and others in the fall.

Have a great week everyone!  Stay safe and take care!
