Honey Nut Bread
Ingredients:
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 3 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 2 cups butter milk
- 1/2 cup liquid honey
Topping:
- 1 Tbsp. liquid honey
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 2 Tbsp. chopped nuts
Instructions:
- Mix dry ingredients and 1 cup of nuts in a bowl. Blend milk and 1/2 cup honey. Stir into dry mixture just enough to blend. Pour into a 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
- Blend topping mix and spread on hot bread. Sprinkle with 2 Tbsp. chopped nuts. Return to the oven for 5 minutes to glaze.
