Apple Dumplings
Ingredients:
- 125 mL brown sugar
- 6 medium apples, peeled and cored
- Pastry for 2- crust 23cm pie
- 125mL raisins
- 25 mL butter
- 2 mL cinnamon
Instructions:
- Roll out dough 3mm thick and cut in 6 squares. Place apple in centre of each square and fill core cavity with raisins, cinnamon and butter. Draw up the four corners of the pastry and seal the edges.
- Bake at 425 F until pastry is lightly browned and apples are tender (about 25 minutes depending on the size of apples used).
- Serves 6
