Gold Cake

1 pound sugar

½ pound butter

1 pound flour,

Yolks of ten eggs

Rind of one orange

2 lemons juiced

1 tsp. soda

One pound sugar, one-half pound butter, one pound flour, yolks of ten eggs, well beaten; grated rind of one orange and juice of two lemons, one teaspoon soda
