Iron Frying Pan Cookies

Iron Frying Pan Cookies

Makes 3 dozen

Ingredients
3 ½ cups flour
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
1 egg
½ cup milk
1 cup raisins


Preparation
Mix all dry ingredients. Cut in butter or margarine until blended.
Add egg and milk, blend. Stir in raisins.
Roll dough into 2­inch balls and flatten to ¼ inch thick.
Heat frying pan until a few drops of water dance on it when dropped in the pan.
Place a few cookies in the pan and cook until bottoms get brown and tops get puffy. Turn over and brown the other side. Serve warm from pan
