Memory Mondays- Museum Renovations

Hello Everyone,
This week we are looking back on the house's journey to becoming the museum we know it as today.  It took many volunteers many hours to research and then restore the house on site into the Backus-Page House Museum, an 1850s farmhouse again.  As you can see in the photos above, the house was stripped bare and then re-plastered and painted, along with many other cosmetic adjustments.  The skeleton of the house looks very different than the beautiful house you can tour today!

Have a great week!
